A. The promise must be to do legal assignment then only you will succeed. For example if you asked him to get govt job then you will be held responsible for seeking illegal favors.

A. See if you are looking only for the compensation against the damages which happened to your reputation, then you should go for the civil suit but if you want to send them to jail then you should file a criminal case against them or you can go for both the options.

You can file both civil and criminal defamation cases but if you file civil case you have to pay Court fee about 7% of claimed amount and there is no limit to claim any amount. The procedure is as follows:
