My father constructed a house by purchasing a plot in the city Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh about 40 years ago. The Nagar palika parishad Auraiya (NPPA) has surveyed the house and levied the house Tax since 1990 and extended other civic facilities like pakki Sadak, water connection, electric connection etc and collecting usage charges of the provided facilities. Now the same NPPA has made a survey recently and claiming that my house is on the land owned by NPPA and issued me Notice to demolish the house within 7 days. Please guide me about the legal remedies available to me.
