My grandfather had earned property from vendor but my father had sold it to upper caste people In 2002 and I was minor on that Time even my mother didn't have signed the papers...my father was died In 2007..and we are belongs to sc St community...can I file a petition against them to retain our land ?kindly reply to this query.. Thank youz

A.Hi,
If the sale deed is valid, you cannot claim your land back.

A.First if your father acquired the property according to will, then chk will
if your grand father didn't leave any will, then property would be equally distributed among legal heirs.
Check your Property record in Nagar Nigam( if property comes under municipal limits) or check in Khatoni, Tehsil in their District( if property is a agriculture) Check the last update whose name is there.
You can claim your property if your mother signature is note there.
And to sell this property one has to obtained a permission to sell from SDM without that purchase would be considered as Void.
Suggest, Pls meet your lawyer for better understaanding.
