Bike transfer & accident issue
Hello,
I sold my bike last month to a person who accepted it with a delivery note in Bangalore. He also took signature on form 29 and 30. He gave the bike to his friend and before the transfer is even filed, his friend met with an accident, a lorry hit him and he died. Now, police is asking me to come to the police station and release the vehicle since it's still in my name. I am not in town and the victim family is calling me repeatedly to come and release the vehicle so that they can claim the insurance. What should I do here? Am I in any kind of trouble? What to do when there is difficulty in travelling, is there any online process?
