Car RC Transfer being delayed Car RC Transfer being delayed

3 years ago

I had sold my car to OLX in Nov 2019. After constant follow up I was shared details of the end buyer in Jan 2020 I was told that the RC transfer is in progress. From Jan 2020 to till date the RC transfer of the car has not been done. The car seems to be on road as I got an SMS about its PUC renewal and also by now the insurance too has lapsed. How could OLX allow the end buyer to run the car without completing RC transfer? Due to Corona outbreak I was not able to report this to my local RTO, however soon when the lockdown was gradually lifted I reported this to the local RTO in Oct 2020 and the car now has been blacklisted. In my recent follow up as on Nov 2020 with OLX I am now being told that the initial buyer whose details was shared and with whose details the car was blacklisted has further sold the car to some another third party and that I need to submit an affidavit to RTO to remove the car from blacklist inorder to continue the RC transfer. I no longer trust OLX and after the car is removed from the blacklist they may again take another year to complete the RC transfer. I feel I am being cheated and harassed unnecessarily since a year. How do I put an end to this.

A.Hi,
Initially, You may contact the buyer and ask for clarifications,
After that, the process of RC transfer should be carried forward as soon as possible.

A.Dear Sir,
RC Holder only held responsible if any accident is caused by the vehicle. So, you must do the needful immediately.

A.you done the right thing.
let the care be blacklisted.
OLX or new buyer have to approach RTO to transfer then you can give consent.

Hope this clarifies,
