Owner not paying back the security deposit Owner not paying back the security deposit

Owner is not paying back the security deposit and showing us the non sense damage which were not even done by us. The contract date is 2017 and none of current tenants knows that contract. The contract doesn't include whitewashing but owner is asking us to pay for that also. He just doesn't want to pay our security deposit. Any advise please, our security deposit is huge.

A.Hi,
You can issue a legal notice first.
Then you can opt for filing a case against the owner for breach of contact and return of deposit.

A.Hi,
You can first send a legal notice to the Owner. If he does not comply, you can file a civil suit for the return of the deposit and also for breach of contract.

A.who done contract in 2017 ?
the damage after contract is accepted and have to be rectified else it had to be mentioned in contract.
Thatswhy it is important to mention pre-existing damage.
the house when it was given had new whitewash or it was dirty ?
you can do whitewash by yourself instead of owner.
you can send legal notice by lawyer.

Hope this clarifies,
