Mid of lockdown our landlord increase the rent and after 3 months our whole family suffering from covid. After that situation we are not able to pay the rent, after recovering within a 10 days they demand to pay whole rent and said search other flat.now the situation is we are not able to pay whole rent at one go they also seize our scooty and they are not understanding anything what to do?

Was there any rent agreement signed by you? If yes, first of all you need to check the clauses mentioned in the rent agreement that:
1. when can the rent be increased,
2. by what percentage the rent can be increased.
The scooty can not be taken by your landlord. Talk to your landlord again.
If he still does not return your scooty, you can send him a legal notice.

A.Hi,
You need to check whether it is mentioned in the rent agreement that the landlord can increase the rent, how much can he increase or when can he increase. Though it is your duty to pay the rent on time, he can not seize your scooty if you are unable to pay the rent. It is advisable to talk to the landlord and ask for some time to repay the rent, if he does not return your scooty, you can send him a legal notice.

A.good idea, i will do same with my tenants.
I not increased rent due to corona.
How much is security deposit ?
Who gave them right of seize scooty. Write FIR for theft.
