I am landlord rented a house on nov 2013 starting few months they have given rent properly after there was delay .but now it has gone to lakhs and i have all the evidence proof of agreement ,audio,video clipping and sometime they are threatening us .In june 2020 i gave 100 rs stamp paper to tenant and they have written that will clear all the dues and vacate the house before 31 dec 2020.if they didnt clear the dues and vacate it is cheating case .so i have to complaint to police station or file a case in court .how long it will take to recovery my money if i file case in rent court.

A.first , what was you doing since 2014 ?
second, you only fave them stamp paper that if they didnt clear the dues and vacate.
you only signed the confirmation on stamp paper that they can vacate without paying before 31 dec 2020.

if you still not learned lesson of google medicine or self diagonosis then keep running like tarzan.
else run to a lawyer and file case in civil court.

A.Hi,
Yes if the tenant defaults rent again then you can file complaint for the same. The time period will be determined by the court depending upon the facts of the case.

A.Hi,
If you have the evidence that the tenant has not paid the rent then the proceedings will be faster. However, the court will determine how much time should be given to the tenant based on a few factors such as their financial condition. You can refer to the Rent Control Act of you state.
