Contested Divorce

I have applied Contested Divorce through a lawyer but in the meanwhile, my wife applied compliant in the police station. As I got a call and informed that your wife lodged a complaint in my home town. As I doubt that she was trying to arrest or hold me and my family in jail. After marriage (1 month later), I found she was cheating for 2 years we are only having disturbance with each other(no Kids). And she left home on Nov 2017 after that she never came home as i work in Gurgaon. Even we had meeting on Jan2018, through our community I said if she is good behavior I will take her back but her mentality didn’t change again she started threating me by her family members and relatives. So I feel unsecured and threatened by my wife family.
Now I am feeling doubt that even after visiting to my hometown for the police station I feel scared. Even as per the lawyer he says that he got case number for contested divorce but as per my knowledge he have to get 5 signs from the court .Is it good to visit my home town as I have only number nor the papers . or I need any other precautions to be taken before going to police station becoz I am weak and I doubt that they may arrest me . Due to that I may lose my job
