A.Hi.
From the facts mentioned above, it can be understood that your house owner is harassing you, so it is advisable to you, that you should issue a legal notice to him for the mental harassment and for the wrongful deduction in the security deposit which he is committing. His acts are wrongful and intentional, thus legally a reminder should be given to him, for which he may also need to compensate.

A.Good Eve,
From the abovementioned details it can be clearly seen that the landlord has been acting in an dictatorial sense, the tenant has the labiality and right to undergo the minor repairs and maintain the property for normal wear and tear, deducting ridiculously obnoxious amounts for petty repairs is nothing but a weapon to harass the tenants / ex-tenants. usually such incidents are brought to the solution vide issuing strong legal notice to the landlord for charging unreasonable deductions in security deposit return leading to harassment causing mental agony and heavy monetary damages and legal fees can also be claimed vide a legal notice, I am a High-court level Law-Practitioner based in Maharashtra, India, I try to empower people by helping them know about their legal rights as much as much as for free-under my capacity, if you did happen to like my answer you may procced to get the the Strong Legal Notice served on your Landlord at a Lowest Economic fee possible, feel free to reach me out for further advise by finding me on google and getting my details from Vidhikarya team, so that i can help you out further.
