False Electricity bill False Electricity bill

It's been 3 months, we shifted in a rented house of 2bhk with 5 family members including me.
We have 2 ceiling fans, 3 tube lights.
We are using ceiling fans whole day as per our need and lights using after 5-6 pm to 12 am Maximum as windows are enough to get day light.
There is only one meter for landlord as well as for tenant.
Now we're in doubt that they are charging me extra as earlier we never paid 1000₹ for 1 month electricity.
We paid maximum ₹500 for electricity because we don't have anything extra electronic products like TV, Fridge, etc.
Now they don't provide any separate bill to us neither they are not allowing to install our separate sub meter and they're telling they will call their own electrician for installing sub meter and now giving excuses that their electrician is unwell to come .
They are promoters/builders and have very bad reputations in locality. People are criticizing them for stealing of electricity from old tenants.

Please contact if possible. I want serious suggestions regarding this issue.

A.Hi,

You should talk to your landlord about it, and if you think you have been cheated, you can file a police complaint under Section 420 IPC. Furthermore, if the landlord still refuses to comply and install a sub-meter after receiving such a complaint, you can do so because the Delhi Court in a judgement allowed the tenant to install a new meter without the landlord's permission. You can definitely install a sub-meter here without the permission of your landlord because electricity is a valuable product and particularly since the landlord has indicated that he is willing as a result, and the delay is due to the electrician.

A.Hi,

You can raise the issue with your landlord, and if you believe you've been duped and haven't been compensated for your loss, you can file a police report under Section 420IPC. Also, if the landlord still refuses to comply and install a sub-meter after receiving such a complaint, you can install a sub-meter because the Delhi Court in a judgment permitted the tenant to install a new meter without the landlord's permission since electricity is an important commodity, so you can certainly install a sub-meter here. Particularly because the landlord has stated that he is willing as a result, you can certainly install a sub-meter here, particularly since the landlord is obviously willing as shown by the fact that he has called the electrician, but the delay is due to the electrician.
