I have leakage in my bedroom, water is coming from the upstairs bathroom as inspected by my leakage expert. The upstairs neighbor is adamant and is not ready to repair it. This is happening for the last year now. Society has issued him 2 notices which he has ignored. Now they have started stomping to disturb us as we work from home. I and my wife really feel disturbed by this whole scenario. This can result in health issues and already damaged my ceiling and furniture. Can we send him legal notice and what can be the course of action if he ignores legal notice aswell? This is impacting us mentally and financially.

A.Dear Sir,
You may get issue a legal notice claiming huge compensation for such negligence activities of your neighbor. You may approach a civil court and get a mandatory injunction for such repairs and also claim compensation from him.

A.Send him a legal notice but before that you need to send a normal letter or representation to the society with all the issues as society is supped to intervene and resolve in all these matters as their prime duty. If that doesn't work then legal notice followed by a civil suit if required.

A.Hi,
First issue them a legal notice, and if they do not comply, then you will need to file a complaint with the registrar of the societies to get the remedy in your favor.
