OBC Non creamy layer eligibility OBC Non creamy layer eligibility

I joined a bank (govt owned, not PSU) in scale 3 (direct recruitment) before age of 40 years as OBC-non creamy candidate. Now, the bank is categorized as private sector bank. I am having only salary income. The income (non-salary) of my wife also does not exceed Rs 2.5 Lakhs. So, will my son will be eligible for OBC non creamy layer ?

A.Hi,
The applicant's parents' yearly income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs to qualify as an OBC non-creamy layer candidate. It indicates that only the applicants will be considered as Creamy Layers if their income from sources other than salary and agriculture exceeds the income limit.

A.Hi,
As per the rules, the net annual income of the household must be below Rs. 8,00,000 to be eligible to avail the reservation under OBC NCL. So, if the combined income is less that 8 Lakhs, you can avail the obc ncl for your son.
