Construction of my house

Hello sir/mam
This is related to my recent construction going on in my house. We decided to take our balcony 3 ft ahead from my present stage and asked the neighbor if they have any objections with this or not. They said there is no objection carry on with the work.
The work started first floor was finish and we stared constructing the second floor and after few day when 80% of work is being completed the neighbor said stop the construction as you are doing illegal work.
So is this appropriate? Just wanted the help related this.. and i have the telephonic conversation recording of that the neighbors agreeing on the construction going on.

You may approach Civil Court and get a stay order if you are construction is legal and not violated any building conditions. First get issue a legal notice to them to know their defense.

A.Dear Sir/ Madam,
Besides the telephonic conversation do you have any written consent given by them for extending the balcony if yes then you need to keep that safe. You need to approach a legal representative since the nature of property and construction is unclear
