I met with an accident unfortunately my pillion friend died after 4 days in hospital.

My bike is acquired by police and police taken the FIR having 179,304a, 184 sections on me. I got the bail .

Concerns-

1. When can police will release my bike.?

2. What is the process to get insurance money.(claim to friends family)

3. How to proceed if the friends family expects more money than insurance amount.

4. Can I travel abroad in current circumstances.

A.Hello Sir
Your bike would be released once you have paid all the fine and your case is cleared from the court. Also the friends family would be given insurance amount as decided by the insurance company. Also if you want to go abroad you'll have to take prior permission from the court and if your passport is seized then you cannot go.
Thanks

A.Hi,
In most cases, the police confiscate the car after an accident under Section 120 of the CrPC and file a report on the incident. If the cost to the police is smaller, the driver may be fined and the car may be released once the appropriate paperwork proving the driver's ownership are examined.
Thank you.,

A.1. You can file an application to the court under Section 451 of CrPC for release and disposal of the vehicle. If the court is satisfied that it is not needed for further investigation then it will be released to you.
2. If your friend had a insurance policy then his relatives can file for claim to the company. If you are talking about the Insurance money to be paid for the accident then his relatives will have to file a case against the company which insured your bike.
3. That you will have to figure out and might have to pay from your pocket, if you wish to.
4. Yes you can but then you should keep the court informed about it.
