My grandfather written a gift settlement on me , there r 3 male and 2 female children my grandpa have one of the son gave a written agreement for not interested in the property. another son went to court now he won his claim [property claim] since its ancestral property. My grandpa died 4 years ago. now fear is i have planning to build a home but what if my aunts a also files a lawsuit since its a ancestral property... since still the partisan haven't done yet

Since it is an ancestral property you cannot go and renovate it on yourself. You need to take permission with your successors and other co- owners other wise it will be considered unlawful.

A.It is necessary to know whether the property remained unpartitioned through male lineage of your grandfather for last four generations or not, if not then it is not ancestral but self acquired property of your grandfather in respect whereof he can make registered Deed of Gift in your favour without consent of other legal heirs. To give proper opinion, it is necessary to know the actual facts.
