Rented House Repair Rented House Repair

My landlord asked me to note down all the concerns/repairs that house required while shifting and told me he'll get it done once I'll shift. I agreed to it within one week after I shifted I handed over the list regarding actual concerns. He agreed to fix them but later he tried doing "Jugadu" fix to which I raised concern we did argue a few times on it as well. I told him I'll get them fixed but I'll deduct it out of rent. He wasn't pleased but i told him I'll leave if it will go like this which made him agree then. I shifted here in month of August last year (2021). And now in month June (2022) there was one more thing which was lingering all this while that was kitchen drawer's chanel which was troubling all this while needed change coz drawer got stuck and I was tired of reminding him so i got it fixed and deducted from electricity bill and not rent. Over which he threatened me that if I'll keep doing it he'll make me vacant house. I'm currently jobless and doing courses to get a better job. I can't take care of my own expenses and his house repair which aren't new concern but very same which was raised in very 1st week (I made sure to keep written record over WhatsApp chat). Please advise what I shall do in such situation. I always pay rent on time without any reminder.

A.Dear Sir,
If your advance is not with your landlord you need not worry much. Your landlord cannot recover so easily the expenses sent for repairing the house.

A.Dear Client,
Any landlord who rents you a place to live must keep it in safe and decent condition. In the law, this obligation is called the Warranty of Habitability. Check with your city, village, or town clerk or the county health department to see who can do an inspection. The inspector will visit and report any violations of the housing code on a “Notice and Order.” A copy of the notice will be sent to the landlord approximately 5-7 days after the inspection. The notice will say how soon the problems must be fixed. Even if the landlord ignores it, it is best to get the inspection done to serve as proof of the problems that need to be fixed.
