Backdated Property Tax liability
I have sold my Flat in Feb-2020.While selling I have cleared all the property tax dues.
Now there is a back-dated charge of Rs: 15122 with heading "2022_0" by PMC pune.
I would like to know who should pay these charges?New current owner of property as he is liable for all the bills received post the purchase date?
OR
Old owner of property as charges are backdated?
A.Respected sir/ma'am,
As you have mentioned that you have cleared all the charges and taxes you will not be liable to pay the said amount. It is simply a matter of clerical error that the records are not updated and you got the notice instead of the new owner.
