Property dispute when son is not alive Property dispute when son is not alive

My parents got married in 1998. Around 2002-2003, he was diagnosed with some critical health issues. He expired in 2007. He had some property in his name(given by his grandfather) which then transferred to my mother. Me and my mother are still living with my grandparents because Indian sentiments related to marriage. Now cut to 2022, they want to throw us out of the house and claiming that we have no rights of our residence or anything that are owned by them because their son isn’t alive and we mean nothing to them. What are our rights right now?

A.Dear Client
If your great grandfather has given the property to your father directly following the legal process then he was the real owner of the property and after his death you and your mother including your grandparents (who all will be considered as legal heirs) have the right in the property.
