Gift Deed - property in Bangalore
I have a property in Bangalore which I want to gift to my daughter. Can she execute a power of attorney to her mother to receive the gift? She is presently not in a position to travel and receive the gift.
A.Dear Client,
If a minor should receive a gift deed, the minor's guardian will be responsible for acceptance of the said gift. Once the minor turns 18, he/she can either accept the Gift Deed or refuse it. In the event where the adult refuses to accept the gift the Deed will be void and the Donor has to withdraw the gift. The minor on her own cant accept a gift deed as she is a minor.
Thank you so much, I hope this answer helped you.
