Stamp duty for change in plot number & schedule of the property

Hi, I have registered one plot (west facing) and now landowner wants me to take another plot within the same layout (east facing) and dimension of the plot is same, but, since, there is a change in plot number & schedule, should I need to pay stamp duty again (as if a new registration) & register or I can just go with rectification deed & pay minimal stamp duty. Thanks
