Related to flat owner

I have finalized the flat through a broker, and given 10k as the token amount and just 4 days before the date of shifting the owner of the flat denies to give the flat for rent even after payment of 1 month rent as token. Since I am a student just because of the flat I finalized, I gave notice in my pg, and because of the owner's problem I have no home to stay, how can I get through this, is there any law supporting me?

There is no law to support you but u can take help of the police or Deputy Commissioner/Collector of your district since u r a student so some sympathy may be shown towards you.
