I am from Mumbai and my deceased father's property is in Amravati we have got the mutation certificate in our name but we need to register the property so wht are the documents needed where do we get it done in Mumbai or Amravati

A.Hello Sir,
No you cannot register anywhere. But you can register in sub-registart office under your revenue district. The property documents that need to be registered, should be submitted to the office of the Sub-Registrar of Assurances within whose jurisdiction the property, which is the subject matter of transfer, is situated.
