Disclosure of personal chats and group chats
1 year ago
My Old personal and group chat were revealed by one of the members of the group without my consent and shared through screenshots. This created alot of conflicts among friends and family members. Furthermore, the members to whom these chats were revealed were a part of my organization too who resigned. This has created an emotional set back and a lot of stress to all the members.
I need your help in understanding that this can be legally taken or can there be a complaint processed for the same. Please give me some advice.
A.Hello Sir,
Due to such Act your reputation has been lowered. You can initiate civil and criminal action by way of defamation under Section 499 and 500 of IPC and also can file civil defamation claiming huge compensation from the person who had leaked the messages.
