I have a flat in Pune I took possession by paying Rs 25000/- lump sum maintenance cost in November, the builder paid maintenance cost Rs 1400/- per month for 6 months and then the committee started Rs 1900 monthly cost. Even if you catch the maintenance contribution of my flat of Rs 2000 per month, it is sufficient for 12 months but the committee has started asking for monthly maintenance costs from the 10th month since taking possession. Also not give any account of how my previous Rs.25000/- was spent on my flat, on the contrary sending a notice to me....is this somehow an extortion case?

Firstly ask the committee to provide you with a detailed account statement of how the Rs. 25,000 paid by you has been utilized for maintenance expenses and then verify the statement charges. And if you feel there is something wrong with account statement, then approach your builder. Even after that, if your problem is not sorted out then you can brought the legal action action for extortion case. Please seek an expert advice over this matter.
