I was born in bihar and was an obc there but after marriage i came to uttar pradesh and here my caste is in general category so will i be able to contest in panchayat election of uttar pradesh which has the seat reserved for obc

A.Dear Client,
As per Supreme Court, a person's caste is unalterable and can't change after marriage, As per Supreme Court, a member of reserved community from one state cannot claim the benefit of reservation in government jobs or admission in another state, if his or her caste is not notified there.
