Society chairman refusing to sign flat transfer document because of religion Society chairman refusing to sign flat transfer document because of religion

I am recently in mid of purchasing a house in Ahmedabad and my loan is under process as well as i have gotten Ashant dhara document also. Now, the chairman is threating us to not buy the house because we are not hindu. We come from a straight forward Christian family and we are very much confused. Can the chairman refuse to sign to transfer flat just because we are Christian and not Hindu? .He is also saying that they have made some "Tharav" that states that owner can only sell house to Hindus. We asked them to provide a copy of thrav but they are not sending it to us.Also no one in the society is aware of any such rule. Our owner is very supportive but the chairman is threating us. What should we do in this situation. We have to complete our "Dastavej" this weekend. Please suggest a solution.

A.Dear Client!

You can write formal complaint to the local police station against the chiarman and other committee members for blocking your share transfer form for such reasons which is illegal. Also attach the share transfer papers and agreement copy with your complaint.

Police will do the needful.

A.Dear Client,
It is advisable to visit and ask for proof to allot houses to people of a particular sect. On failure, you can proceed to file a suit under discrimination and regarding the same.

We asked them for ‘Tharav’ copy 3 days ago but they are not sending any copy and also ignoring our calls and messages. Should we go ahead with ‘Dadtavej’ ?
