Electricity - wire spring live wire is passing through our terrace

A wire spring live wire is passing through our terrace to give electricity to next house which is a threat to us we want to remove that wire the neighour is saying that the connection is 20 years old so you cannot remove wire we had build our house 5 years back we were not reciding here so they placed the connection theough our plot but now it goes through our house and that too is not a cable wire that we could feel little safe please tell the procedure i should follow the je says you have to bear all expenses including 5000 for the visiting is this our fault

Reach out to Electricity Deptt ASAP and put up a complaint expressing your concern in detail to the concerned Head of the Deptt with a copy to the Grievance Cell if any. In case no suitable steps or action is noticed post your complaint, file a complaint before the Ombudsman of the concerned Electricity provider for a resolution in the matter. In the absence of a first hand information through an application/complaint from the consumer service provider may not entertained any other communication to resolve the grievance.

You may immediately bring to the notice of electricity department and also get legal notice issued to them. Finally you may approach Hon’ble High Court to issue a mandatory direction to such department which is running is affairs so negligently.
