A.Dear Client,

I would require more information regarding your issue. Please specify for which purpose or under which policy of government the land was sold to the government of India. This information is necessary as different policies have different remedies mentioned under them for the people affected by them.

So, please provide with proper details so I can give you an answer which would be on point and useful for you.

Thank You

A.Dear Client,
There are few State-specific policies or schemes adopted by a few State Governments that offer employment to a family member of the landowner whose land was acquired for public use under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 by the State Govt. Apart from payment of compensation to the affected family under the LA Act, the State Government of Chhattisgarh has also framed the Chhattisgarh State Model Rehabilitation Policy, 2007 (for short 'the R&R Policy') highlighting the object of rehabilitation policy and defining the affected family under the policy. Under the R&R Policy, an eligible member of the family is given employment. Clause 1.2.7 of the R&R Policy provides that if 75% of the land of the last oustee / Bhumi Swami has been acquired for industrial purposes then as per the qualification, employment will be provided to one of the members of his/her family. So, you may visit the concerned office or department of the State Govt you belong to take feedback in respect of whether any such Rehabilitation Policy/Scheme on the acquisition of private land for public purpose exists or not and if exists, take the steps accordingly if you find yourself entitled to that policy/scheme.
