A.Dear Client,

If you are dealing with an errant tenant, you have several options to address the situation:

1. File a Complaint at Local Police Station:
- Visit your local police station and file a complaint against the errant tenant.
- Provide details of the issues you are facing and any evidence you may have.

2. Private Complaint to the Magistrate under Sec. 200 Cr. PC:
- You can also file a private complaint directly with the Magistrate concerned under Section 200 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cr. PC).
- Present your case to the Magistrate, outlining the issues you are experiencing with the tenant.

3. State-Specific Rent Control Act:
- Resolve the dispute under the applicable state-specific Rent Control Act.
- File an application before the Rent Controller or Additional Rent Controller, explaining your grievances against the tenant.
- The Rent Control Act provides a legal framework to address issues arising from a rent agreement between landlords and tenants.

It's crucial to document all communication and incidents related to the tenant's behavior. Consult with a legal professional to understand the specific procedures and laws applicable in your jurisdiction. Seeking resolution through the Rent Control Act is a formal legal process designed to address disputes between landlords and tenants, providing a platform for amicable resolution.

A.Dear Client,
In the given situation, you can make a complaint against the errant tenant at the local police station and can make a private complaint to the Magistrate concerned under Sce.200 Cr. PC. Apart, a dispute between a tenant and landlord is also resolved under the state-specific Rent Control Act under which a Rent Controller or Addl Rent Controller is appointed to deal with the dispute arising out of a rent agreement between the parties. So, in the prevailing situation, you can file an application explaining your grievance against the tenant before the concerned Rent Controller to resolve the issue amicably. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.
