Partition - Maharashtra
Me and my brother jointly own 4 Flats in Kolhapur Maharashtra. All flats are purchased out of our own income in last 15 years. Now we want to partition. One flat having Ready rekoner value of Rs 70 Lakhs will be taken by brother and other three small flats ready rekoner value 50 lakhs wiil be taken by me. What is the cheapest mode of doing this viz gift/ partition/ relinqueshment/ settelment etc. Local vakils are giving varied opinions from only Rs 500 stamp duty to 3% stamp duty + registration charges.
