have given money for my friend some emergence RS 4500 but he is not given back .
Can I file a complaint against my friend who cheated my money? But i have only call recording proof with me

A.Before proceeding, you need to have proofs which will act as evidence.

Send him a legal notice.
File a complaint to the police.
Send him letters of your own.
Then file a money suit.

I also sent him letters saying to return back my money….and he said he won’t return it back

You can Lodge an F.I.R against your friend to your local Police Station.
