When a sale deed is registered between the seller and buyer, what is the responsibility of the Registrar? Is he not supposed to check if the plot being registered by him confirms to all Governmental regulations?

A.Dear Sir,
Ofcourse but it is not so binding on the registrar to peep into the bonafides of site property. You can get issue a legal notice if registrar as committed any negligence in performing his official duties.

A.Hi,
It is not on the registrar to check for all this, the responsibility is only limited to endorsing of signature of both the parties at the time of registration of documents and providing receipts of such document.

A.As per section 52 of Registration Act. 1908, when document presented, registrar is to ensure that, the signature of every person presenting a document for registration shall be endorsed on every such documents at the time of presenting the documents, and provide the receipts of such documents to person presenting the same.
