Can My grandmother(60+) claim her share according to Hindu succession act in Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh? My grandmother's father died before 2004 and her brother sold the ancestral land after 2005 and get a compensation in crores. Brother deposit all the money in accounts and also buy property in name of himself and his wife. And there is still a piece of land remaining which worths in crores.

A.Hi,
The ancestral property is distributed equally among all the children, if there is no condition to the contrary stated in any document of property. A suit for partition of property can also be filed, if the limitation period is not over.

A.Hi,
if the property is ancestral property, then it will be distributed equally among all the children.
However, you can file a partition suit (if the limitation period is not over) to claim your property.

She can initiate litigation by filing partition suit and thus case may be ended in compromise.
