Hi...My Mother in law has one daughter and three sons.My Father in law passed away,if there are assets in the name of my Fatherinlaw can my Motherinlaw give it to her daughter alone without any sign of sons

Thankyou for your response Sir..Iam her daughter in law(One of her son's wife) My Motherinlaw says she will give all the assets which is in my fatherinlaw's name even to her daughter. Is that possible sir ?Can she give all the assets even which is in my father in law's name?
