security deposit security deposit

I vacated the flat in the month of december as owner has sold the flat. We asked for security deposit but he didnt returned saying he will come to inspect the flat. We handed over keys to new owner. From december till feb, he was making false promises . Then finally yesterday ie 15 feb he came and started pointing problem in switchboard or rusting on kitchen panels. Moreover when we vacated flat, inverter was in working condition but now he is claiming its not working. Although new owner is not asking for any repair . My falt owner is asking for repairs which were not damaged by us. Its been almost more than 60 days.

A.hai,
you can issue a legal notice to the owner to refund your security deposit. if he fails to do you can file summary suit under Order XXXVII of CPC for recovery of SD with interest. You can also file criminal complaint of cheating , criminal breach of trust against the flat owner. If you find this helpful, please rate us.
