Dear Sir/Madam,
My father died recently. He did not made any WILL. I am his 1st wife's son and my mother is not alive. I have a step mother and a younger brother born to my step mother. We have 2 properties along with some FD in bank. The properties were purchased by my father only. I want to know whether i will get the share in property or everything will go to my step mother. If i am getting a share, how much %age i can get from the properties. Please advise me in this regard.

A.Hi,
In case of self acquired property where the title older demises interstate with out the will the property is allocated among the 1st class legal hairs in the equal proportion. You as the first class hair will be entitled to 1/3rd share and 2/3rd share will go to your step mother and brother.
