Regarding getting amount from rent of sel acquired property
3 years ago
My father is the only son and five elder sisters. My grandmother has right on self acquired property. But my father gave money to self acquired property when he is working. But now my grandmother is not ready give will to my father, she wants her daughter to get share in that. My father even doesn't have home to stay. Everyone in my family cheated. And currently the house property is given for rent. My doubt is can my father take rent amount or rent amount also shared to daughters.
A.Dear Sir,
Your father may file suit for declaration.

A.The contents of query does not make any case of cheating. It is grand mother only who is entitled to fetch rent. If grandmother does not leave any WILL and does not bequeath the properties then only all her children shall be entitled to inherit the property in equal proportions.

A.The rent acquired should be equally distributed among all the members of the family.

A.Hi,
If your father can prove that he contributed in acquiring the property, then he can claim a share in the rent.

A.Hi,
Since your father contributed to acquire the property he could claim his share on the property. So, he is liable to get a share in the rent amount.
