How caste verification for UPSC is done?

I m frm gujarat my school lc show caste 'kadiya' and my father show 'kumbhar' kadiya is sub caste if kumbhar. kadiya also sub caste of sathwara comunity. in obc list of center ...kumbhar and sathwara both are obc list. i have also obcncl as kadiya. now my concern is that i hv cleared upsc medical exam as obc candidate so in verification process they ask for cross verification of my school lc with fathers lc? my obc certi is from executice megistrate its genuine. how caste is verify by upsc faculty?
A.Dear Sir,
Even if cross verification is done with reference to yours and your father's then there will be no problem as kadiya is sub caste of Kumbar. Get certified copies of both the transfer certificates of yourself and your father.

In orders to prove you are from a obc caste or reserved category you'll have to carry your caste certificate. Just Carry your caste certificate along with your tc. Also if your father's tc show that he is from a reserved category then that means you are also from the same and sub caste doesn't matter.

If it is a subcaste then it's not a problem they will still consider you as a OBC. Also carry your caste certificate for making your claim stronger that you are from reserved category.
