Notice period to tenant by landlord
A notice period of 60 days is required from either party to terminate the rental agreement. There is no clause mentioning if rent is to be paid during the same period. The landlord has asked us to leave at short notice then changed his stance to leave after two months. If the landlord gives the notice period, is it required for the tenant to complete two months and vacate only after that period?
A.Hello
The tenant is required to leave the apartment within the notice period served. It's not obligatory on him to leave the property after the completion of notice period it's up to him when he want to leave. Although he need to pay the amount for duration for which he is staying.

A.Hello
No it's not required by tenant to complete two months and vacate only after that period. It's the tenant call when he wants to leave in those 60 days period. Also the tenant would be liable to pay the money for the duration for which he is staying after ther notice period is served.
Thanks

A.It is necessary to scrutinize that Tenancy Agreement for the terms and conditions including the clause of that NOTICE PERIOD specified therein for legal interpretation of those terms . Until and unless the documentary evidences are scrutinized as a whole, legal remedies cannot be suggested on this issue.
