Dear Sir/Madam,

Can a non member get a clear title of ownership of a liquidated cooperative housing society plot in bihar registered under the bihar and orissa society act of 1935 or there will be any restrictions/right issues arrises in nearby future by the society concerned. Is there any such power to any of the society concerned authorities like registrar/liquidator/state govt, etc to restore the society with the original registration or with new registration after merger to hold the property ownership either partially or fully and take the possession of the society plot in a nearby future conditionally, please specify the law or rules regarding that.

Is it safe to purchase that plot for a non member of that society? Please suggest.

With thanks and regards.

A.Dear Client,

As per the facts mentioned, as the cooperative housing society has been liquidated then there is nothing left to be a member of whereas if you want to purchase then you may contact the concerned authority which liquidated the society.

A.Dear Client
If the cooperative housing society has been liquidated then the mere existence of the society is gone hence the question of member or non-member does not rise. The authority which has liquidated the society should take the responsibility of transferring the ownership.
