I just got a witness summons from court

I just received an ndps case witness summons under my name. But unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the court. What has to be done or will a warrant be issued against my name for my absence? Pls let me know

Since you have received the summon then you must be present to the court on the date. If not then you have to let the court know about it with a valid reason for your absence else there will be warrant against you.

I’d advice you to appear in the court on the said date as if you don’t go to the court then an arrest warrant would be issued to your name.
