Can a company provide replacement for some people and not for others on their products? Like a headphone manufacturer's headphones break at same point for every customers generally within 6 months of even light usage, they provided replacement for some people and not for me

Such conduct of the company is a good ground for you to get issue a legal notice and later approach consumer Court for showing step brotherly treatment to you by not replacing the products purchased by which are defective.

If the product is malfunctioning for so many people that means that there product is defective and they can not choose to be selective in replacement. You can move the consumer forum against them.
