EC AND KHATA TRANSFER - grandfather constructed EC AND KHATA TRANSFER - grandfather constructed

My grandfather constructed the house, he left a will and declared a partition among family. This went to court and a settlement was arrived and the decree stating the settlement and transfer of khata to my father's name was passed.

Now, my father passed away without a will, the only survivors are my mother and myself (only child).

I want to know the procedure to get the khata transferred and docs required for this. And also have the same changed at the sub registrar's office

Which is to be done first ?
The EC is in the name of my father registered against the court decree.

The khata still stands in the name of my father and my aunty (not changed) since the settlement in court and decree passed in the name of my father. ( The court decree clearly states the name of the other person(my aunty) removed and to be changed to my father's name

A.Dear client, you can approach Revenue authority in your concerned place with copy of court decree for necessary entries of your father's name or removal of names as detailed in Court decree. Subsequently you can fill up forms over there in their (Revenue) Office and submit necessary documents such as affidavit, death certificates and other required documents for entering your both names as successors. If you approach them they can elaborately explain bcoz there may be different procedure somewhat at different places.
