Legal Heir Certificate for legally wedded second wife. Missing divorce docs.

My father was a divorcee and he recently expired due to natural illnesses. After his divorce, he married my mother by proper Hindu rituals in 1980s. While applying for legal heir certificate, we noticed the required divorce judgement and other accompanying documents in totality were missing. We have no know about of my father's first wife. Now how should we proceed?
A.The court that laid out the sentence of divorce will have all the documents as required, there you can apply for the copy of the divorce papers.

The court where your father had filed the case and the divorce was granted will have the copies of the records (probably as it is a long period) and you can try to apply for certified copies there.
