Loan against settlement deed
Sir/Madam,
My father has given a settlement deed with life interest before 12 years, now, is it possible for me to avail loan in any of the financial institutions / Banks without my father (alive) consent.
A.Dear Sir,
If records are transferred in your name as per settlement deed then your father’s consent is not necessary to get loan. The nationalized bank may be having more stringent conditions but you can get loan easily from Private Banks.

The answer to this question lies on the fact that what all has been written and mentioned in the settlement deed. What were the terms and conditions for settlement and is there any prohibitory clause. Better you show the deed to some lawyer and seek his opinion.
