Hi there, being a female do i have share in my ancestral property? Does a NOC is required or mandatory for the sale of ancestral property by my father? Can i stop the sale of the property? If yes, what is the duration? Can i get my share from the sold property? Everything has been kept hidden from me as to devoid me of the share please enlighten...

A.dear client yes you have a share in your ancestral property and you can stop it if you need to. You can file a case for partition if your father is trying you sell the property and also you can ask for share even if has already sold it. I purchasers have to make a proper enquiry before purchasing a property, if your father has sold the property without giving you a share you can still file for partition.
