Hello my wife left my house and living with her mother since 6 months.. ive been to women cell and case is closed from there now its in tis hazari

I got notice from her lawyer
I want to know how severe these sections are

And my wife demanded so much money even though there was no expense on wedding from her parents side and no dowery was taken

My PA income is 5 L

And shes asking alimony in crores

I just want to know the severity of the sections on me and on what basis court decide how much alimony to be given.. thanks

A.Dear client,
If the alimony is being paid in the form of monthly payments, the Supreme Court of India has set 25% of the net monthly salary that should be granted to the wife by the husband. In case, the alimony is being paid in the form of a lump-sum amount, it usually ranges between 1/5th to 1/3rd of the husband's total worth.
If you end your marriage within a short period after your matrimonial relationship, you may not be asked to pay alimony to your spouse. The length of the marriage is also considered a criterion for deciding the amount of alimony in many states.
If the woman is proved to be unfaithful, the you may be able to avoid paying alimony. Infidelity offers the counter partner an advantage.
