Land Partition - ancestral land in 1956

Respected members Law professionals, I have a ancestral land which was provided to my father in 1956 in Andaman and Nicobar Island (Rehabilitation of Bengali settlers from partitoned Bangladesh).
It is being partitioned among us ( 10 division among childrens).
For access to easy commutation we took a government foothpath in the middle of the land ( vertically), giving access to everyone to the foothpath, for that we surrenderd 3 metre width foothpath to government, sanctioned before 2007 (and completed).

Now during partition, it is being told by the official to us, we need to surrender additional 2 metre width foothpath ( Total 5 metre) in the middle of our land to government. Otherwise partition won't happen, they say there is some 2007 supreme court ruling in which 5 metre foothpath has to be surrendered for emergency vehicles etc. Which is in conflict to what we surrenderd and officials are saying it is the only way, otherwise partition of our is not possible among ourselves.
Sir are there any law like that, and sir what can be done in this situation.
