Divorce - divorce case against me in Canada

I have been married In India as per Hindu marriage act and have never visited Canada. I was married in 2013 and separated in 2015. My husband has started a divorce case against me in Canada in sep2022. My question is what is my remedy to save myself? He is intending to take exparte.

If the spouse is residing in any other foreign country, then they can seek divorce by mutual consent under the country's divorce laws related to foreign marriages.
